SUMMER DECISION

Post by lawschool1234567890 » Thu Apr 08, 2021 10:03 am

I have to decide my 2L summer plan by tonight. My options are Wilson Elser and a small (20 attorney) corporate bankruptcy firm. Any advice?

I’m not qualified to comment on WE, and I don’t know anything about the small firm. However, what’s your goal?

Do you really want to do corporate bankruptcy? If so, what’s the chance you’ll land in that at WE versus the small firm?

If your goal is to pay off debt as quick as possible, what’s the compensation like between WE and the small firm? If compensation skews toward WE but you want work-life balance, what’s the work-life balance at the small firm (i.e., will you still be working WE hours for less than WE pay)?

That’s where I’d start, at least.
