Is it worth going through VIP at YLS? Should I just apply to firms now rather than wait? Also would firms attending VIP not allow us to apply through pre-oci?

yes still do VIP. but go hard on pre-OCI. usually this means applying through diversity programs, which would still allow you to do VIP and apply pre-VIP. and diversity is a very broad category--basically everyone can find a story to tell.
