If you are looking for a tutor in the Miami area:
I won't be there before the Dec exam but if anyone is interested for Feb/June, PM me.

Craigslist might be a better place for this.

I think you need to try a bit harder to sell yourself :-)

I can answer questions about myself/ the tutoring via PM :)

Sure, I just think folks are more likely to PM you if you start by saying how awesome you are.

(Sorry--I'm not in FL)

Out of curiosity, what do you charge? Here in the midwest, a very good independent craigslist-advertised LSAT tutor is $30/hour.

ZombiesAhead: I charge $40/hour which is on the low end for this market. I used to live in DC where its easily 60-100$/an hour (ouch!)

As for saying how awesome I am I've tutored for many years (high schools students in various subjects, taught a language class to adults). I like to meet people and work with their learning styles and needs (whether they need to tackle a few types of questions or need comprehensive help). And I use the strategies I learned in my studies to help improve their score as much as possible!

Advertising an LSAT score is going to be your best way of finding clients on TLS. If you're trying to teach the LSAT with a 165, I doubt you're going to get too many bites around here. On the other hand, if you're at 175+, you might gain some more immediate respect...

My score is 168 (96th percentile). It's not groundbreaking or anything, especially by TLS standards but its also easily found through my profile, old posts, PM etc.
Either way I'm not ashamed or anything so there it is.

Again this isn't the only place I find clients. Most are through referrals & craigslist but I just wanted to put it out there in case anyone on TLS wanted in person help and were in my area.

Thanks for your input though guys. :)

Well... from a fellow LSAT tutor, good luck! I'm sure you probably have some great things to say to people with a 168 and your tutoring background.
