This game owned me when I took the LSAT in Oct 08 and it just owned me again today when I took PT 55. I can do the game and get all the answers right, but it took 12 minutes. I might not have a 12 minute cushion on test day so I need to find out what is the most efficient way to diagram this game or what key inferences I missed. If anyone has a way to do this game in 8 min or less do tell. Thanks for the help! Oh and if you don't want to post any specifics here please PM me!

I did a write up on this game back in June, but I can't take the time at the moment to find it. The way I did it made the game fairly easy though. If you search for it and can't find it, I might have time to dig it up this weekend.

This game was on the LSAT I took. I think I managed it under 8 min if I remember correctly. I was able to do this one quickly by not doing much diagramming actually. I don't recall that there were any major inferences. I really think one key to doing this game quickly could actually be to spend as little time as possible doing initial diagrams and focus on hypotheticals. I know this strategy might not work for you but I hope it helps.

I searched a ton of different terms and the only things that came up were threads with people complaining how hard it was or the "what is is the hardest LSAT question" thread lol. If you remember the thread title that might help. Otherwise I'll wait till the weekend.

dank, thanks for the tips. Some of the rules are just hard for me to visualize and I end up wasting time drawing like 1,000 hypotheticals I just have this feeling I'm doing something wrong or inefficiently.

This may or may not work for you...

Use a 1-2-3-4 setup with two slots each, ala advanced linear.

Conditions (greater=sooner)

M is greater than or equal to R
V is greater than J
If F is greater than or equal to J then S is greater than or equal to G
CONVERSELY
If J is greater than F then G is greater than S

Look a little deeper on those two converse statements and it becomes apparent that you can reverse either individual statement without making a logical error, odd but true.

(just write that stuff out and it will make more sense)

Question 19: Plug and Chug
Question 20: Same (M-L) are first two stops
Question 21: Same (F-L) are first two stops... Accordingly M can be 3rd at the earliest, R can only be 3 or 4, cut B and E,
F is greater than or equal to J, therefore S must be greater than or equal to G... The earliest S can be is 3, G must be greater than or equal to 3, cut A and C. D is left, it is correct.

Question 22: L-S are first two stops either way... the soonest M can be is 3rd, therefore R can only be 3 or 4 and has to be after 1-2.
Question 23: The stimulus states that G>S... accordingly J>F... add in the original inference V>J and you have V>J>F, answer D exactly.

Yeah I set it up Use a 1-2-3-4 setup with two slots each, ala advanced linear. in this way as well. I think the key is understanding that still on the bus when it arrives means you can get off at that stop or any later stop but not before.

if I recall that is how you set it up.

I've seen people do it like this:

^ But that is a mistake because if I remember alot of the rules had "X cannot be behind Y" so you need to set it up in a way where that can be diagrammed without confusion!
