I wouldn't underestimate the adrenaline many will experience on test day. For me, it was definitely enough to counteract any sort of fatigue. It's pretty amazing how the body just kicks into gear when it knows you're truly up against the wall.

I bet your right -and lucky for me, I do actually perform better under pressure. As a kid I figure skated/danced/showed horses, blah blah blah and always did a lot better when the heat was on. Same with college public speaking/debate team, etc. I feel like I'm half assing or something and then out of nowher I pull it off. I just hope come Monday I will feel the same way. I'm already planning a re-take in October and plan to take fewer classes during the second summer session at my ug so I can allow myself to take the time I need to do this.

Whatever you people do, do not take redline energy drink. If you have to take redline, don't do it on a empty stomach and only have half the bottle, otherwise you'll probably end up feeling like you would rather die than live another moment. I did neither and it was god awful

Haha well whatever works. I found that 5 hour "extra" works nicelt. I tried half and half during two timed PT's so that's the plan for today.

I had this exact same question about 5-hour energy so I experimented with it three times about three weeks ago at various points before a test. About 1.5 hours before, 20 minutes before, and half before, half during. All three negatively affected my performance and made me EXTREMELY sensitive to distractions. The noise of flipping pages went right through me. I was studying in a library and it was absolutely awful. Unless you cannot stay awake by any other means I STRONGLY suggest against using 5-hour energy.

Instead eat a healthy breakfast or lunch, some complex carbs and protein and do the same right before the exam and then try to get the same during the break. Should serve you better than 5-hour energy. Also, Ive been taking B12 which helps immensely. Its a more natural feeling energy.
