I gotta say, Vanderbilt is intriguing me. I'm ultimately trying to end up in New York, and they sent as many graduates to New York last year as they did to Tennessee. They've sent 13% of their graduates from 2012-2016 to New York. They've also been in the top 10 in % of class sent to federal clerkships in recent years, and their academic programs seem really interesting. I already know I like the campus because I applied their for undergrad, and I've already got the numbers to get in there regardless of how I did on September. Did not expect to be so interested in them.
Vandy is an incredibly reputable school with a huge alumni base in New York. Outside T14, it is def a top choice imo.

One of the only areas they aren't a match for the t14 is LRAP. Even then, their program is still pretty good, just not as mind-blowing as the T14. I'm definitely applying, and would almost certainly be happy there.

yeah, i agree. There are a lot of competitive schools thus it makes it incredibly tough to be in the T14, but im surprised vandy isnt in the t14 compared to some of the lower ranked t14 schools mainly just because of Vandys reputation and history.

Vanderbilt seems a bit underranked given its job placement numbers. They're 14th in biglaw/fed clerkship, aren't they?

Im not entirely up to date with their stats, but just from a "my personal experience working in NY" I know of a lot of successful alums that I have randomly come across and met. Much more pertinent than some lower t14s that don't have that "long-time historical" almost ivy charm. I feel like Georgetown is also not always given the credit it deserves. Plus, Both schools culture is awesome. I really like Vandys campus and not-to-mention, nashville is a fun place.

Yeah, GULC and Vanderbilt are both among my top choices (please give me money, guys). I was actually wondering if those 2 might end up tied for 14 this year or something, but with Vandy's LSAT drop, that seems unlikely now.

I would be quite happy if I could help with Vandy's LSAT numbers with some significant tuition assistance. I suspect quite a few of us would.

 Same. I'm not sure if the movement of those numbers should excite or scare me as a splitter.

So US News is saying they are using median GRE scores now towards the rankings. If I have an incomplete memory of my GRE scores from 2008, is it worth sharing them with the schools. I know some of the apps I started ask for GRE, SAT etc. But not in any official format. If I have a 780/800 on the old quant and a 5.0 on the writing, will that give me an advantage even if I forget my verbal score (probably because it's not near as good as the other two)?

I think they have to be from the past five years.

Yeah my PT average across the last ten was like 174 but that RC beat me and I wouldn’t be surprised with a 165.

I'd be surprised if I got a 130, I'm fairly certain I didn't break 110
