Guys what do you think is a reasonable debt load from CCN/MVPB? Is it pretty much impossible to go to a T13 for less than 100k debt unless you get a named full ride? TLS has made me super debt averse and the prospect of going to UChicago w/ 90k or Mich w/ 120k freaks me out because I'm still gonna be on the hook for 100-150k in loans. Maybe I should just take a few years off and work at a bank or something, then apply to get a full ride from NU.

HYS - anything
CCN - 150k
Rest of T14: 100k or less

That's what I'm going to try and follow when I apply. Like you, though, I'm incredibly debt averse and if I have a choice between two T14 schools with one at a full ride and the other paying money (even if it's half at NYU vs full at Cornell) I would seriously consider Cornell. I don't know what my final decision would be, but it would be very close (likely Cornell).

I'm gonna disagree here. I don't think HYS is worth going with no need-based aid. I also don't think NYU is worth 50k+ more than UVA/Michigan.

YS - anything
HCCN - retake for YS, or if 120k+ scholarship then attend
MVPD - 120k+ scholarship then attend
BT - lol

You can get merit aid that exceeds named scholly, and you can go to a t13 with less than 100k. COL is what really kills us here, it's almost as much as tuition :/

CCN and MVPBD are worth about the same for me, and I think expected years salary is a good upper bound for debt, which if you're gunning for big law is 180k. But if faced with that choice you're probably getting $$$ from Cornell/Vandy/UT/WUSTL and I'm not sure which option Id take.

I'm trying to guess my exact emotions for each score

163 or lower Depression
164-166 Disappointment
167-169 Neutrality
170-172 Happiness
173+ Elation
seems about right.

Man, COL is going to kill me no matter where I go. My undergrad is UGA and the COL is dirt cheap here...

1-4 sticker, your getting a good job if your graduate last in your class. They don't really give a shit if you want to negotiate in most instances.
4/5-8 most of the time sticker, should be more picky with negotiating though.
8-12 if sticker, I would want to graduate top half to pick a firm you particularly want if interested in big law.
12-on sticker, only if it is in a market you want to practice in and you can't retake the LSAT or you have serious c&f issues.

My SO and I want to get married and buy a house soon, but it's so hard without knowing where I'm going to go to law school. I really want to go to UVA, but honestly I might go to UGA if I could get a full ride because I think I want to end up back in Georgia and UGA is at least decent. It's just so frustrating because UGA was my backup choice for undergrad and I don't want to end up at my backup for law school, too, you know?

Also, hella drunk because I have this nasty rosemary olive vodka that my family brought back from Chicago because I collect bottles and it has a super cool bottle of the Chicago skyline and my roommate and I have been taking shots lol. So sorry if anything doesn't make sense. At least I'm not thinking about the LSAT. But I love you all and hope you all got 180s. :D

COL is why I'm floating an app to UF, even if I miss my target LSAT by a bit Im still looking at full ride + maybe stipend there. COL is dirt cheap there (even more so with a stipend) and I do have strong legal ties in Florida, so it still is a viable option despite being much lower ranked than all my other targets.
