Good, bad, waste of time, necessary? Where would you rank it?

I've been studying for about a week now and have started with the Trainer. More specifically, I've been working on LR. My brother took the exam and so I have all of his materials to use, including the Trainer, the LGB (not sure if he has the LRB), I believe some Manhattan material, all of the practice tests, and I believe all of the questions from every test broken down by question type and difficulty.

Sorry. I know this is the third thread I've made in the last week asking for advice, but I've been hit with a huge wave of anxiety over the test since I started studying and I really want to get this right the first time.

Best book on the market in my opinion... Mike also has some study schedules up on his website that were super helpful.

Yeah I've taken a look at the study schedules but I think I'm going to be following my own since I only plan on using the Trainer for LR and RC and am skipping his LG material completely. What other books, if any, did you use alongside the Trainer?

Great for RC and LR, terrible for LG.

So I've been told. That's precisely the use I plan on getting out of it.

I don't think it's terrible at all. However, it's probably not the best for someone who is just beginning to learn games.

Considering I only have 5 months to study, I think I'm going to start with the powerscore LG material since it's better than the Trainer's LG material.

Yeah... that makes sense.

If you can afford it, the $179 7Sage course is a very good option too.

I may explore that option.. haven't gotten to that point yet. But I am definitely going to use their free video explanations for all of the LG questions.

7sage for $179 is unquestionably the best option. I used the LSAT Trainer book and it was good also. It really comes down to your learning style. 7sage made the lsat more intuitive for me. I would do 7sage for 3 months and practice exams for 2 months (2 a week with full blind review) if I were on your schedule. Retake until you get a score that would give you a full ride to your dream school.
