the average lsat overall is still what, 151? I don't see thousands of people pulling 180 all the sudden either and i still think 3.8+ are more rare that TLS let's off to be.Anon-e-miss wrote:I think it will take at least 2 years. It will surely help a small minority of applicants, but yeah I agree. I like the 3 tries rule because unlimited tries indirectly incentivizes sloppiness and advantages those who are willing to pay to take the test 5+ times, potentially at the expense of more prepared or less financially flexible applicants.dj9i27 wrote:the average lsat overall is still what, 151? Don't think it'll make a big difference for 170+ scorers anyways. Might hurt 155-165 scorers though.

I think people are going to maybe spam retakes at a higher rate, I knew some people who did that with the GRE. Might actually hurt admissions and the lsat more than anything, some kid taking this 7 times in 2 years and caps at a 163 has a shitloads of 14/5 in there bogging down the averageAnon-e-miss wrote:It will surely help a small minority of applicants, but yeah I agree. Not sure that this will benefit any of us though even with potentially high LSAT scoresdj9i27 wrote:I think people are going to maybe spam retakes at a higher rate, I knew some people who did that with the GRE. Re: The Official September 2017 Study Group
Have been hitting games hard this week. Done with PS LG and the LG sections of the Trainer. Mercilessly bored of games. I'm quite accurate for this stage of prep but am very slow. Seems like that should be easy to take care of with lots of drilling. Planning on moving to Manny LR today/tomorrow, of which I've done about a third. Will save Manny RC for last. After that, it'll be drilling, PT'ing, and reviewing. Cautiously optimistic about my progress.

Do you think PI gunner ambition disincentives schools from giving big $$$ since the student can just ride PSLF/LRAP and then (unless you are YHSC) the feds will foot most of the bill? Or am I neurotic?dj9i27 wrote:Only 500 are allowed to apply a year, that way they have to give us money!Anon-e-miss wrote: I would prefer for DCN to freak out and give me a full ride

if your PI or bust, NYU has scholarships of your choosing and CLS has something, it starts with R. Both are raised to get than a Hammy or Vanderbilt so I think if you sell your PS as "I don't want corporate under any circumstance " they'll biteAnon-e-miss wrote:Do you think PI gunner ambition disincentives schools from giving big $$$ since the student can just ride PSLF/LRAP and then (unless you are YHSC) the feds will foot most of the bill? Re: The Official September 2017 Study Group
If PSLF is going to be killed, I'd rather it be before I apply to lawl school so that NYU and other T14 can bring back non-IBR, amortizing, fully-endowed LRAPs and relieve me of the uncertainty.dj9i27 wrote:and our great administration greatly throttled the LRAP program!Alexandros wrote:+1dj9i27 wrote:if your PI or bust, NYU has scholarships of your choosing and CLS has something, it starts with R. also, no. they know LRAP isn't the same as no debt.
Good luck with that 500g debt while making <100g.

Uncle Donnie
That being said, it would be easier if Feds guaranteed PSLF for the long haul. The danger is in the uncertainty
