Huge variance in PTs right before Saturday's test

I got a 169 on PT 77, 170 on PT 78, and 160 on PT 79. I really shit the bed on LR, which was surprising because it wasn't that hard objectively on the 7sage scale. I made a lot of careless mistakes. But is this normal variance? It's got me worried that I might underperform massively on test day. I'm getting PT 80 from Amazon on Thursday, so tonight and tomorrow I'm just gonna review 79 and do some weird LG.

Maybe you're burnt out?

It was my third PT in as many days, so possibly. I'll take it easy till I get PT 80.

This screams burnout to me!

Your brain needs time to decompress and lock the info down. During studying it is NECESSARY to take breaks, at least one or two days of zero LSAT.

I was on a strong upwards trend before breaking 170:

I was at a 165, 167, 167, then two days in a row 155, 155 :(, I FREAKED but then someone gave me the same advice I am giving you now. I took two days of zen life, watched movies, went to the gym, played games, and then picked right back up at 167 towards the 170

Shake it off. My last PT before Sept was 7 points lower than my average, and I outperformed my average on test day. Trust the system.

Thanks for the advice. I carefully review PT 79 tonight. take tomorrow off, take PT 80 Thursday, and then take Friday off.

Also sitting for Saturday's test. Went 166 PT77, worse on PT 79 (screw that exam, really messed up the games and LR was not really great either), 164 PT 75. Hoping to be on the upper end of those on test day! I've had a fair amount of variation as well. Good luck on Saturday!

Same!!!!!!

So I only did those PTs in compiled books so I did not even look at PTs after 71. I was having a pretty good and steady average score for those tests before I reached to the last book (PT62-71) recently. Now my grade is dropping every single day. What is worse is that most of them aren't silly mistakes any more. I am really anxious and wonder if the real tests are more like the recent ones. If so, what should I do for February test?

Idk...I think there's more variance this close to a test. Nerves just get to you. Just remember, and I need to as well, that you got your target scores on various tests. You understand the logic, it's just about executing and having a clear mind.

I wouldn't worry. The week before the test I had a couple bad tests and ended up doing better than any PT. I don't think you're burnt out. I'd take the final prep test on Thursday, review it and then do nothing on friday. You'll do great :)
