Hi everyone, I've taken around 10 PTs spread out in a couple months. Looking at my pathetic excel sheet, I've consistently been scoring around the upper 150s. I usually get around -9 for each LR section (-6 being the level 4/5 type questions and around -3 skipped questions due to lack of time). I usually skip the parallel questions, sufficient assumption questions and questions with a long stimulus + answer choices. I feel like I'm making good progress whenever I BR (my average BR score is upper 160s), but obviously I'm not, seeing that I'm unable to improve my accuracy and speed. Also, just the other day I took a LR section untimed and I still managed to get -9 ( mostly middle 10 questions). Gahh! How do I change my study to accommodate this? I'm so frustrated

What books/resources/etc did you use for LR? I was in your exact position not too long ago but 7sage really helped me out with LR and now I get around -1 to -3 per LR section.

Drill a CRAP ton of questions by question type. This really helped me, and I'm still doing it as well.

I use 7Sage, PowerScore, and LSAT Trainer. Basically everything recommended in TLS.

Hmm. I haven't tried drilling based on question types. How did that go for you? Did you drill questions level 3-5?

Yeah I use the volume 2 LR Cambridge book. I have had this book for about a year now, and have drilled it a few times, as well as the same questions because I don't always remember them. So I don't have a specific time frame, but for example, I drilled the 60something questions for the Most Strongly Supported Q type yesterday all in 1 night. Granted, half of the questions I had done in the past but didn't really remember them much, but they were still not completely fresh questions.

You said you use 7sage for LR, correct? I'd say go through the LR curriculum stuff again one at a time and then drill that Q type. Even though I get like -2 or so per LR section, I still do this and find it helpful!

One thing I would add is, just be cautious how many questions you drill per type. You don't want to exhaust all of your drill material quickly. You can use 7Sage problem sets per question type to drill until you feel you are comfortable with it. That way, once you get back to PTing, if you find there are question types you are still missing a lot, you have problem sets to go back to.
