Harvey Dent: "You thought we could be decent men at an indecent time. But you were wrong; the world is cruel, and the only morality in a cruel world is chance. Unbiased. Unprejudiced. Fair."
Identify the flaw.
P.S.: Do you think the LSAT should include flawed arguments from popular media?

The argument mistakes a condition sufficient to ensure a conclusion for one that is necessary.
Men can act decently in indecent times while it also being true that morality does not exist (or at least the kind not based on chance). Yeah?
And definitely. MAGA LR would be the best

Dent is attempting to prove that Batman is wrong for thinking that one could be a decent man in an indecent time. His support for this claim is that the world is cruel, and thus the only morality in the world is chance, which is unbiased.
His support does nothing to strengthen his conclusion. Even if we accept that the world being cruel is equivalent to saying that we live in an indecent time, why would having chance be the only morality preclude someone from being a decent man?
Honestly, I'm confused by this claim that morality is chance - what does that even mean? Having flawed arguments from popular media would be a lot of fun, but I think this is a good example of why that would be hard to do. A lot of famous speeches/lines in movies don't hold up as well once we scrutinize them word-by-word, statement-by-statement, the way we do when we approach LSAT arguments.

Wrong attractive answer choice (E)
Even though Harvey Dent's main quality as a character is his cynicism and affected morality he presumes without justification that being decent requires being moral.
lol

Sometimes I come up with random LSAT LR answers that don't make any sense just for fun.
(D) Takes for granted that Harvey Dent and Batman are both capable of moral action in an indecent time.
