I maintained a PT average of 164-166 through about 10 tests pretty much constantly before my lsat on saturday, but I was not able to sleep the night before the test. It was maddening.

However, I had slept until 2 pm the day beforehand (horrible schedule, I know), so I definitely think that contributed.

Far as the test, just speaking generalities, I did not think I did especially poorly, as I finished my 1 simple RC section before time was called for the first time and finished both medium difficulty LR sections early. Going into the break I felt pumped.

On LG I didn't completely finish the last game (2 questions left) or the rule substitution question in the second game, and was only 50% sure on the last two questions of game 3. So -5 in the worst case. Other than that I did not think it was a disaster like many did, and was relatively certain I deduced the inferences in the third game.

What I'm wondering about is whether my performance was disguised by my lack of sleep. I know various others have spoken about the possibility of that, and so I've been panicking the last few days about whether to cancel.

Though, when I think deeper about it, I did sleep until 2 pm the day before the lsat and took it at 9 am the next day, so that's a total awake peroid of 19 hours. Surely lawyers do that all the time? Since I was on adrenaline, I'm wondering if you guys think I really could have done well.

Thanks so much for reading this!

Based on your description of the test, it sounds like you did well. You only hit a real stumbling block during that one logic game. Considering all the things that could go wrong during an LSAT, that's pretty damn good. It sounds like you're overthinking it a bit - I'd say just wait for the score instead of cancelling and undoing all of your hard work.

Agreed. I would also like to add that not sleeping at all seems quite common, and getting very little sleep (fewer than 5 hours) seems to perhaps be more the rule than the exception.

I agree that you should not cancel. You sound like you did well and you might as well see what the score is. Best of luck!

I slept roughly 40 minutes the night before, pulled -1 or -2 beneath my PT average, which you should expect anyways with nerves. Wouldn't sweat it. There's also no real benefit to canceling.

Yeah don't doubt yourself until its over. The only time I would cancel is if you were like "holy shit...I left 10 problems blank." Other than that, nerves, lack of sleep is all stuff most ppl go through and you might have just done fine like you stated. I think the chance of you doing just fine is higher and even if you didn't its not a big deal. Take again and its a sign of improvement.

Best of luck!

164-166 average. You should cancel because of that alone.
