my friend who just started studying for the lsat told me during my lunch break that, "RC was really easy and LG was the hardest. " when does he find out that Santa doesn't exist?

Yeah, that makes 0 sense

If I base this information from LSAT scores medians and <= 75 percentile LSAT scores. Correlating to 1L grades and performance, then it does make very much sense. 0L prep ftw.

Oh, ok I think he/she means that it's easier for a student at GULC to be above median than it is for a student at H to be above median. Still don't think I agree with the logic but at least it makes more sense than before.

This is sorta true for me - at least it was in the beginning. Haven't taken a recent RC section yet (>2012 or so) so maybe I'm in for a surprise.

How low do OCI firms and agencies dip past H median, is the real question? In personal value and location value GULC OCI >>> H/Y/S. Less big time Gunners for above median grades for an OCI bid..

In this silence, I believe.

Finally finished the LSAT Trainer today! Looking forward to about 10-12 days of heavy drilling before taking my first PT on the 13th. I've been pretty anxious to get this stage going.

My impression of the Trainer was overall positive, but I do feel like it came out of the gate strong and tailed off/got repetitive towards the end. Something that also could have contributed to this feeling was my actual motivation to go through it thoroughly tailed off.

Either way, I'm done! I'll start drilling and follow up with my Power Score bibles if questions are giving me difficulty. ~3 months to go! Let's do this!

before I disappear for a few hours, I've noticed I wear dress clothes and a tie all day then walk into the library in sweatpants and flip flops.

decided to abounded MH LR and use my old PS bible if I run into trouble down the line.

Hello all. Been many months since I posted on these boards.

I started studying in June, took September, didn't get what I wanted (161), and then decided to take about 4-5 months off. Started studying again in January, hired a tutor, decided to sign up for June. Just took my first PT since September, got a 171, best score to date. End target is 172+, but would be satisfied with a 170. Feeling really good about what the next 3 months will bring.

Tutor is giving me real motivation. Not just because he's teaching me well, but it's also super helpful to hold you accountable to keeping up with your stuff. That, and the ridiculous amount of money my parents are spending on him is making me feel super guilty and super obligated to do well, lol.

Wow! Great job on the first PT after your break! Your goals and mine are pretty much the same. I want 172+ but I won't retake if I get 170 or higher in June. Welcome to our little group. It should be getting bigger by the day.

Anyway, today I did my first RC section in like a month. -3 again; -2 on the first passage. Weirdly, I got none wrong on the last passage, which was insanely hard. I've taken 5 RC sections since I've started studying and gone -3 on all of them. I was hoping for some improvement but I'll take it. Gonna do two LR sections after my 2:00 class and I'll see where I am on those. Back to LG tomorrow.

Greetings to all, another longtime lurker here coming out of the woodwork for June.

I almost registered for Feb but I had only studied for two months with the LR/LG bibles (which are awful) and taken two PTS so I bailed right before the registration deadline. Starting up again in January so far I'm %50 through 7Sage's premium ($350) curriculum, and I just PT'd at 172 (PT 55) so I'm getting slightly more confident.

LG is still my weakest point (-3 on PT 55), so these "weird" games I've heard discussed on here in recent tests have me all freaked.

Also, I work full time (wish I had a tutor like ^^) and am currently looking for a new job. I'm worried about whether a new job before June will stress me out and end up messing me up once it gets closer to crunch time.

Do other people working full time just PT on the weekend and do a bit of review during the week?

Welcome.
Yes, I also work full time. I go to the gym at 530am then come back and get ready for work, post work I go back to the gym for an hour then drill from 630-930/10 pending how tired I am. It is manageable especially since you're at 172 for PTs.

How are you all drilling?

I am going to drill Must Be True/Strongly Supported/Inferences today.

I just dont know how to approach drilling and learning from my mistakes.

I just do question type drilling untimed and go slow with them and knock out 4 answer choices and give myself a good reason to do so for each question. I might go a bit fast with the easier questions, but for the harder ones I definitely go slow with them.

Since I slacked off last week, I've ramped it up this week but:
Month 1 (now)
LR: Assumption, Strengthen/Weaken, Flaw for 25-40 questions
LG: I made packets 3x each of basic and advanced linear from PT 7-45 so I will finish those before the 12
RC: 2 sections every other day (up to 5 if I feel good)

Do you tend to totally bomb the first set of LR? Last night I did some prelim questions and went 6/10 on OBVIOUS wrong answers but then when I did my scheduled drill, I went 37/40.

Not really tbh. I'm one of those people who don't really need a warm up, I just get right into it and can focus fine. it's just when fatigue starts to settle in when I start having issues.

still gonna do at least a small warm up on test day though, obviously
