5 sections OR 4 sections then 5?

When I am ready to do full PTs, should I start with 5 like on test day or should I start with 4 sections then bump to 5?

Note: I am referring to the non-writing portions.

I think it might be best to bump it up. At least for the first few to become acclimated.

Do 4 sections for the first few then bump it up. You want to build your endurance and if your endurance isn't already high, go slowly.

I started endurance training by taking a PT and breaking it down into timed sections. I did one timed section one day. The next day did two sections back to back. Then three timed sections back to back. Then added a fourth, taking the 5 minute break, as opposed to a 15 one, just to get the endurance up. Then I added a fifth and treated it like a regular timed exam, 15 minute break and all. HTH.

I am not opposed to both. Start at 4 work your way to 5. The less often you take PT's the more often you should do 5 sections, the more often you take PT's the more you can mix in some 4 sections.

The point is that you have the mental stamina and familiarity with actual test conditions.

On days that I am pressed for time yet still want to take a PT, I'd rather take a 4 section then none at all.

I'd also recommend starting with 4 and working your way up to 5. Fully timed PTs are tiring, and I think it's a safer and less stressful bet to ease into it gradually.
