Hey, all!
With the September test coming up, I know we're all very stressed, so I thought this thread could be a fun way to channel that. Post song lyrics in the form of an LR stimulus, a question, and the correct answer. Here's mine:
Bieber: "My momma don't like you, and she likes everyone."
Bieber's argument is must vulnerable to critique on the grounds that it...
Correct answer: C) States a conclusion that contradicts one of its premises.

This is brilliant.
What would be good besides milk or coffee? I'm gonna wake your five senses up now.
What is the flaw in the reasoning?
A) The singer fails to take into account other ways to wake up the five senses.

I wish I was a little bit taller
I wish I was a baller
I wish I had a girl who looked good, I would call her
I wish I had a rabbit in a hat with a bat
And a six four Impala
I wish I was like six-foot-nine
So I can get with Leoshi
'Cause she don't know me but yo she's really fine
You know I see her all the time everywhere I go
And even in my dreams I can scheme a way to make her mine
'Cause I know she's livin phat
Her boyfriend's tall and he plays ball
So how am I gonna compete with that?
<-- E) Confuses a condition that is necessary for an outcome for one that is sufficient to produce that outcome.

Hmm.. don't agree with this AC. Seems more like a contradiction between premises. Can I appeal?

I appeal; can't dispute the truth of the stimulus, bruh.
Amber: I couldn't spread my wings in this world that was like a small birdcage.
The reasoning is erroneous because...
A) Amber takes it for granted that the size of the cage affects spreading of wings when there is no evidence of a connection.

Marie: The slipper will break. Midnight will chime.

'Cause growing pains ache. And tempers collide.
But... Love, like wine, will grow sweeter with time.

(E) She uses an analogy when there is no reason to believe that love and wine can be compared.

Lately, I've been thinking about mistakes that I made in the past; girl, I'm tired of playing games with you.
I'm trying to fight it, but you're so indecisive, and I ain't got the patience to be chasing you.
I'm tired of fucking around. You know he ain't right for you; he wouldn't fight for you.
I hate when my high's coming down 'cause I stop to think about all of the nights with you.
And I've been on the road now.
When it snows, I get away from the cold now.
You didn't think that I would shine, but you know now.
Cali bitches on my line; I'm surrounded by these hoes now.
All my dogs keep telling me to bone now.
The verse follows logically if which principle is adopted?
E) People should rhyme with the same word in their songs.
