Top Law Schools

Always remember you can transfer after 1L. Yes, it's terribly hard to be in top 5% of your class at a TTT, but it can be done if you out work everyone else. That's what I did, and I got accepted to UC Berkeley as a transfer.

Just throwing it out there.

Studied a ton for lsat, had a tutor, did a class, couldn't crack it.

Congrats on the transfer. Seriously. But, you've only shown that there exists an exception to a rule. While there is some merit to working hard in law school, it definitely does not assure top 5% or top 50% grades. Law school exams/grading have an element of luck and arbitrariness built into them. I know bros/gals who chilled quite a bit during the semester and then test day comes and BANG. Some people are better geared for law school exams.

TL;DR–Don't make decisions concerning law school under expectations that you will be above median. There are hundreds of TTT horror stories for every Berkeley transfer.
