Top Law Schools

Hi all:
I am a foreign graduate retaker. I sat for the July 15 test, but canceled it (completely freak out). Then, I sat for the Oct 15 test and got a 166. I applied to several top-15 schools, got WL in some, but entered none (applied really late bc a bureaucratic problem in my 3rd world country). My first priority is UMich (my partner works there), hopefully with lots of money, so I am aiming for 173.
My strategy so far for this year was LR Cambridge, then LG Cambridge. After that, I am simulating test conditions (in fact doing 34 and not 35m per section) and reviewing the uber boring RC. This year, I am being more disciplined: controlling my time more thoroughly, doing blind review without temptations.
I’d appreciate any constructive comments. I’m planning to take it this Sept.

Tips, comments, ideas?

Seeing as how the Sept. LSAT is only three weeks away, I would say you should try to focus reducing or entirely eliminating wrong answer choices for the LG section. Out of the three I personally feel it is the only section that clear and obvious right answers can be selected if the proper strategies are used. RC and LR take much more time to lock down and your PT scores show that you're still inconsistent in those areas, so any drastic change in your current study plan would probably do more harm than good. The bright side to all this is that your PT scores also show you miss questions across the board on all three and still manage to score in the 160+ range, and of those questions a fair chunk are from the LG section. There's plenty of good material on this forum to guide you in that regard. Don't slack on the other sections though!

Personally I found the LG the easiest to ace - the games' format is predictable and straightforward. I just took every PT but after 2/3 of them I was able to miss 0 or 1 on that section. As far as the LR goes, this is where you need to focus your efforts most, seeing as they have the most questions in this section. I self studied using every PT, Kaplan books, and Princeton books. By the time I finished all of these materials, I had seen every type of question imaginable. That should help - it got me my 171. When you take the PT's, if you don't already, try to simulate actual testing conditions (resting times, when you start, etc).
