I took a PT the other day and am now analyzing my performance. On the LR sections, I got a 44/51 (21/25, 23/26), but found that 4 of those were Assumption questions (2 nec, 2 suff) and two were Inference questions. Does anyone have any tips for these question types?

I am finding the conclusion of the stimulus, identifying the premises/evidence, and finding the assumption required to draw that conclusion (for Nec Assumption questions, and also doing the denial test).

My original diagnostic was an even 40/50 for LR. That was my highest, so I think that I have neglected practicing LR questions nearly as much as LG and RC, and have seen limited improvement partly due to that.

This is from the inference category: MSS, most strongly supported.

-7 isn't too bad, either.

For inference, find the AC that either, based on the information given, has to be true or has enough data to back it up.
For SA, connect the dots. Identify the missing link between premise and conclusion. An AC can be extreme, but it should still do the trick.
For NA, look for something not too extreme, apply the negation test after POE, and ask "does this answer, when flipped, destroy the argument?"
