Testing in Sept v. Testing in December

My goal, ideally is to score 173+
I'm just starting to PT around the 160-161 range. My blind reviews take it up to high 167-169, I think it's just a matter of I'm not finding those right answers fast enough/not having enough time currently (especially when it comes to logical reasoning, which I started with getting -11 in each section, to about -7/-6 currently).
I'm debating about registration as deadline creeps up closer (August 10) for the September exam. Would it be possible to be reaching my goal by the September exam or should I hold off and do the December exam? I'm only concerned that I won't be able to dedicate as much time studying for the December one because I'll be in school full time + work part time but because I've already started and it's an extra like three months, I don't have to study as intensely as I would for September.
