If you have a problem with a question type, do you drill that question type within a day or over a few days?

I think you should drill it until you understand that question type well enough that you're confident if you see it on the test, then it will be a gimme point.

Sometimes this can be done within a day, and for some tougher questions like parallel reasoning, I'm not sure any amount of drilling will provide me with 100% certitude I'll get it on the test. So, in that case, I am drilling, drilling, drilling!

The short answer to your question is: Until you feel like you've got it down...

Basically. Just keep at it until a question type becomes very familiar.

Like Mikey and Barack have said, work on it until it becomes familiar. Go back to your method, and make sure that you're following it, step by step. Carefully review each answer choice, and be able to articulate why the wrong ones are incorrect. Don't rush through your review. If you're really stuck, look it up online - reading actual students' perspectives on a question can really help.

Some question types will take you longer than others, but that's a natural. We have a tendency to be afraid/become more tense when we encounter our weaknesses. Your goal should be to drill that q.type until it no longer feels like a weakness, until you no longer feel hesitant when you see one of those questions come up in a section.
