Hey all,

I have 4 copies of Kaplan LSAT books and maybe 10 or so PTs that I have completed in the past. I have surely spent well over $2k on LSAT materials and LS applications (I'm going on my second cycle, $30 a pop LSAC fee even with waivers really adds up).

^ That being said, I scored a 158 and am prepping to retake in September. I need some new material (PT's and whatever), but would love to stay under $100 at this point. My goal is a 164 and I feel like I have the tools and strategy to hit that number, just need more practice and maybe skill review as well.

What would you recommend I get this time around? Once again, I would love to stay under $100, preferably $50-60. PT's and practice questions to drill are probably my primary interest at this point.

The Bibles (LG and LR) and LSAT Trainer are what I used and I ended up with a 164!

Thanks, were do you buy them? Additionally, RC is my pitfall. Any suggestions on prepping for that?

They're on Amazon for $37 each or a little less if used.
For RC, try Blueprint. While you're at it, search for PrepTests as well.

LSAT Trainer and Manhattan LSAT trilogy. I also am using the LG/LR Bible if I need to get another perspective. For example, I find the logic chain MLSAT uses a little bit much, so I use LGB method for in/out grouping games.

Also 7Sage free videos for Logic games review.

Cambridge drill by type packets. And prep tests 50-77 for full-timed tests.

Is the RC Bible not good??

I can't affirm its effectiveness, but based on reviews, it doesn't seem worthwhile.
RC is the only section I don't have a prep book on;
don't really see many helpful tips to begin with and surely would hate reading hundreds of pages of fluff,
but that's just me. RC seems hard, but so is math for some people;
I took calculus IV after sucking soooo hard in calc II, yet it ended up becoming my favorite course.
Boy, were those first few weeks rough... I didn't understand jack.
Then, it all suddenly came to me. RC, I reckon, can be the same. It's difficult, sure, but also doable.
Who knows? It might end up beating your LR or LG, given enough drilling.

BTW, I just found my unused copy of SUPERPREP II by LSAC. It includes 3 new PTs that I haven't taken yet. I may also have some drills I didn't do in my Kaplan stuff... at least it's giving me some fresh material that I can work-on in the interim. I don't plan to work really hard until maybe late-August. Just relaxed prep and drill myself. I don't want to burn out like I did before my first LSAT (hence, my horrible first score).

Indeed. I also just bought 15 more PT's for $12 (after shipping). I think that I have enough strategy to work on with the SUPERPREP II book and all of the Kaplan material... I just needed new material for when I do sections and PT. If I get through this prep with only spending $12, that would be amazing. Perhaps I'll by a LSAT Bible or two though.

My 158 was only maybe 2 points shy of my PT average... so a 164 isn't a crazy improvement that will take entirely new strategy to improve to... I have PT's up to 162.
