Practice Test Re-Retakes; yay or nay?

For those of us who are retaking for September - is there any value in doing a practice test for the third time?

Sure. I would reduce the amount of time you get per section to even the playing field, though.

As long as you aren't getting perfect scores on a PT, then there is something to learn from and correct for. I've taken a couple tests three times and I believe I got something out of it, especially on logic games.

Of course.
Zone in on the (hopefully) few that you get wrong and work out the kinks.
If you get 175 on one, then 176 on the next, 175 on the third, 177 on the fourth...
When test day comes, just treat it as another PT you're confident you'll get 175+ on.

Awesome advice everyone! I know that I got in the 170-172 range on a few retakes, so it shows that there is definitely still material to learn.

I'd say yes, but when you redo, try to abstract the pattern or structure of the reasoning a little more than you did first time around. That gives you more application-to-new-questions mileage.

It's practice, so yes. I agree with Good Guy though, maybe give yourself less than 35 mins, maybe like 25-30 mins since you've done the PTs twice already.

Thanks for the input everyone. I instituted the new time limits; unfortunately, timing is rarely an issue for me, almost always its understanding of problems that lowers my score. With that said, that would make the case for retakes even stronger lol.
I'm still going to buy preptests 29-38 though since I've never touched those, and the games could be a challenge at the very least.

One more comment:
I did exactly 50 preptests while preparing for the June LSAT. Between now and September I plan on doing 15-20. Adequate amount, yay or nay? I did the 3 practice tests a week thing, and while in some ways it helped my endurance, it also burned me out and I saw zero improvement. I figure that this time I'm going to spend a lot of time drilling hard problems and games in general during the workweek, and then do practice tests on the weekends.

i am also in a somewhat similar situation for sept retake. have exhausted all PTs and not sure how many more i should do, if any.
it may be better for you to just focus on specific areas where your weaknesses lie and work on test taking approaches than focus on more PTs.

I think that's a good idea to go with
