How do I allocate released tests for PT and Drilling?

So I got a hold of all the past LSATs and was wondering how I would go about splitting them up? I previously read on this forum something about test 1-40 to be reserved for drilling and 41-current for PTs. I believe that was what was posted but I'm not sure and my search efforts yielded no results. Can anyone shed light on what strategy is best?

Yeah, what you said is reasonable. Depending on how well you're doing during drilling, you could just take 52-78 as full PTs (since they're the only ones that have comparative reading on RC, thus making them the most relevant). But as a rough plan, yours is good. I'd also suggest sprinkling in a few tests from after 66 to get acquainted with the nuances of the newest tests (and they are subtly different).

When you say sprinkle in tests after 66 do you mean focus more on PTing those tests or drilling with them?

I'd say probably to drill with. Ive sprinted in some questions from a couple 60s PT. They do seem a bit different. Especially the LG/RC

You don't wanna drill with these unless you know you don't need to use them. Plan to use them all as full PTs. They're the most valuable tests and are the best gauge of your ability.

I didn't realize this until late in my prep but drilling is more important than PTs. I would probably drill 1-51pts and take tests 52-78.... Drill by question difficulty (easier to harder) and type of question. Once you are very accurate and quick on everything but the hardest questions, you are ready to move to PTs. Invest in 7sage starter package for under $200 to learn the fundamentals neccasry to ace this test.
