Has anyone who sat the June LSAT on Monday filed a complaint yet regarding the proctor timing fail show at Suffolk? In the event that a student cancels because of poor testing conditions, does anyone know if LSAC can provide notes as to why the score was canceled (due to the unfair testing conditions)?

Hi. Yes. Myself and another have filed complaints that I know of. I'm sure others have too.

I don't know about your question specifically and I don't think anyone can answer that except LSAC. Basically it seems most likely that whatever they decide, they will probably extend the option to cancel for a few weeks or as long as it takes for them to make a decision.

Once they decide I guess they will inform us of what, if anything, they're willing to do.

I don't think they will tell you or us anything more than that until they decide.

Thanks, pretzeltime. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought our proctor mis-timed us. When you sent your email, did you get any notification of them having received it? Also, is it ok that I don't know the proctor's name? How descriptive do we have to be in our complaint email?

more descriptive the better so it's taken seriously.

filers do come back and post on the forum once you hear from lsac.

I was also (unfortunately) at this testing center and have emailed LSAC with a complaint. I've cancelled and re-registered already but am having second thoughts about where to take the next test. I registered for Suffolk since I'm now sort of familiar with the environment and thinking that maybe this debacle will initiate improvements at the center, but I'm not sure I made the right choice. Actually, I'd only read good things about Suffolk as a test center, so I can't tell if our experience was an outlier. Any advice?

The LSAT is a perfect spot for a proctor who chooses to be a d!$k. The LSATers are in such a bad spot, its a tough decision to call the proctor out during the test. I wonder if your proctor was just incompetent or purposely hurting the test-takers. If the proctor was the latter, then he/she could of been more insidious / low-key and cut the time by 45-50 seconds instead (making harder to determine if any shenanigans are happening).

they can't/won't do anything except allow you to cancel and retake for free if you're extremely lucky but probably not. life's not fair

is the bolded realistic? why would a proctor of all people would "intentionally" do that
