Re: June 2016 - Waiter's (+170 or bust) GRAY DAY HAS AWOKEN FROM ITS SLUMBER
Glad I'm retaking and been preparing still for it. Two points below my highest (which was three days before the test). I wasn't ready for the test but my dad told me I had to take June for him to pay (he didn't care if I retake). I got 151 (I'm not that smart, just work hard...). But here's the thing I went -5 in a LR section when I usually go around -12. It made up for how I did on games. I usually crush them. Did not this time. I need 14 points but it's totally cool because I'm still improving and haven't reached a peak.

Anyone else have trouble with the section 2 parallel reasoning questions (21 and 23, I think)? I'm usually great with these types but both of them got me. Just guaging if I didn't prep parallels enough or if they were particularly tricky

Retake brotha....always retake. Fuck the man that tells you that you aren't good enough. Make that fucker prove it.bmathers wrote:just got it. My last 5 PTs were 159-162... I wanted a 160, got a 158 (74th percentile). My goals are Villanova/Temple/PSU... Should I stick with that, or retake? UGPA 3.3

RC is what killed me (-10). I only missed -4 on LG, much better than I thought I did on LG

169! My PT average! I was originally hoping 170 when I first started this process last Jan but there is no way I'm doing that again. Got a 166 last tome

Sorry to hear about the score, but seriously love the great attitude. You're going to kick ass in your next take.momoyome wrote:Glad I'm retaking and been preparing still for it. My raw score was 70... 72 and I would have had that 160. So close.

Momo, I also love your positive attitude. We are the same, I usually crush LG but it was actually the complete opposite this time which is surprising. I'll see you in the Sept. study group thread!BirdLawExpert wrote:Sorry to hear about the score, but seriously love the great attitude. Don't be sad, it's only 2 lower than my highest score! And before my highest score (153) I was scoring between 144-148. It's a good thing. It was only a slightly ducky situation to be forced into but I don't have eyes on T-14 or anything. I would have rather not taken in June but it wasn't my choice. I did well for me and where I was! If I had gotten higher than a 155 it would have been a huge anomaly and I'd still have a lot of (doable) work ahead of me.BirdLawExpert wrote:Sorry to hear about the score, but seriously love the great attitude. I got -13 on games! I was a hot mess express even though I felt good. It was my first section so I blame the nerves. See you there tomorrow. I fell out of the thread recently but it's time to fall back in heheTheMikey wrote:Momo, I also love your positive attitude. Life is weird people. RC was always my strongest section, LG the worst and LR very shaky. Yet it was RC that prevented me from scoring higher than my abnormally good LR and LG scores would have indicated. Ha!
For the final time, a test score:
173:
RC: -4
LR: -2
LG: -1

Damn, yeah I went -10 on the games when I usually go -1 or -2. I blame my nerves, but not entirely. During the first LR section that I got (which was my 2nd section), I remember being extremely off focus for at least the first 10 questions, which I knew I had a very high chance of bombing.momoyome wrote: I got -13 on games! I scored a few points lower than my average so will most likely retake in September. Does anyone who has retaken the test have advice on how to study productively if you've already gone through all the most recent PTs? I studied using the powerscore bibles so I'm wondering if it makes sense to read a different book for a new perspective or would that just be counterproductive?

Got a 167, which is below my PT average of 171. I have a 3.95 GPA. This was my last retake. Kind of bummed but kind of relieved to know my options. What do you all think?
LG: -5
LR: -4
RC: -5
LG: -5

RC: -5
