Why not use the LG from the 40s as timed sections, as in do them as timed sections. Make a fresh/extra copy of all the LG though (unless you have them in PDF), and use the more recent tests for PT's.
It's just that the mental stamina + (new) logic games seems to be the biggest challenge. I've drilled just about every game from 1 to 38 into the ground using that method (copied, timed sections) and I don't really think it's logic games themselves anymore so much as my approach to them during an actual test.
I'll definitely be continuing to use the new tests for PTs, weekly or biweekly, as before!
But I'm trying to do an older PT once every couple of days to get used to the PT experience without using up an entire new PT (it's also proving easier to talk myself into doing an old PT then a new one if I'm feeling off)

I feel like sometimes you just need to roll with the punches.
On my most recent PT (June 11?), I just couldn't figure out how to diagram this ball in box game well, but I felt that I had a pretty good understanding of the questions. Just went in without a diagram, and got all but one on that game (which was a really dumb mistake)... not advocating no diagram, but am advocating flexibility.

Yeah makes sense, I guess if you haven't seen the 40s or want to rewire your brain.

So, for LG I'm doing a new strategy:
1) I'm going to hold off on the grouping games chapter until I get to that section in the curriculum. Post lesson, I will do the chapter.
2) To keep practicing LG, I'm going to do a timed section of the 40's/50's per day (starting tomorrow).
3) It's off to RC for me!

I'm not sure which materials you are referring to, but you may want some very precursory introduction. That said, I think, by virtue of being ITT, you likely have a conceptual grasp of grouping games... so you probably don't need it. I just think that having some basis in a topic is really helpful in better understanding subsequent lessons!

Yeah, that's extremely important. Definitely something I need to improve at.

Yeah - I'm hoping that will help me address some of my weaknesses. I think everyone has a "worst case scenario" PT format, and mine is LG as fifth section (and 3 LRs in a row, good god) because my endurance is so crap.
LG should be my strength by now, but I still find that new LGs require a certain kind of thinking that is not needed as much with LR and RC, one that's more susceptible to panic / mental drainage, and in that regard they'll always be a bit of a challenge.

I've been crushing the methods of reasoning section of this homework (30/30), but, alas, I do need to eat dinner at some point. Today has been pretty productive. Slow pace, but a steady 6 hours... a lot of time spent with the explanation videos...one drawback of Testmasters is that some of the videos are utterly superfluous.

Guys, where do you go on 7sage to check the difficulty of a certain section of a PT?? I know the question bank is for individual questions but where would I go for the difficulty of the section as a whole?

BR'd the two LR sections form PT 48, which I took this morning.
Despite getting -4 on both sections during the PT, I am not very worried, as I got all of the questions right during BR.
Again, having to hurry causes problems.

I'm not sure if there's another way to get it, but I'm fairly certain they have it in the section where you grade PTSs

Not sure what days but definitely 2/week. I'm going to start with no experimental section for the first few, then work my way to doing 5 section w/ experimental. My experimentals will first be LG, then LR, and then finally just doing RC experimentals since that's my worst case scenario on test day and really accelerated test day fatigue for me in June.
OKay awesome. Im going to following something similar.

That would be interesting and very helpful. Sometimes though when I am reviewing 7sage LG videos and I look at the individual question ratings, they don't always seem accurate to me. I guess its because its kind of a subjective thing, but the ball-park would be nice on full sections.

Yeah I think the difficulty of individual questions as well as timing of individual games is very subjective. I'm only asking for this because I just got my self-esteem destroyed by an LG section, and I want to know its difficulty lol.
For this section, three games are ranked 3/5 difficulty, and one is ranked 4/5, and I had trouble with each game, which never happens so this is pretty upsetting. Today in general hasn't been a good day with my prep. I was out all day so I only got a few role/argument part questions in this morning (went 12/17 I believe it was), which also sucks because those questions should be extremely easy points. I come home to just get WRECKED by this LG section, like u wot??

Hmm yeah I agree. And honestly man, It could have just been an off-day for you. It happens!! When you review the games are you like "Wow I am an idiot" or do you struggle to see the inferences adn logic made to get them correct?

I don't review LG tbh, I just never have. The only way I would, is if I circled an A/C that I know is right, but I'd like to go more in depth with it after, which doesn't really happen much. Idk, I don't feel the need to BR the games, it just seems weird to me, haha. But usually I can make inferences upfront basically every time unless it's a weird f'd up game. I hope it was just an off day, I'm not even going to score this LG section, I'll just do it again tomorrow and see what happens.
