Get that!! I can't go to the gym before 9 PM. It's too crowded and I hate it!

One of my personal goals is to have a gym built into my house. I hate working out when there's people around, cuz they turn the gym into social hour.lizzielemon wrote:Li'l Sebastian wrote:I'm putting in my hour of cardio right meow!

I have a 3 bedroom instead of a 2 for this reason. Third room is the exercise room / office and the second is the guest.MiamiHeat3 wrote:One of my personal goals is to have a gym built into my house. +1
I can't do it at home, but I don't like overcrowded gyms either so I go at 9, which is perfect for that!

Seconded. When I'm at school I run around the lake and that's great because if I run into anyone, they have a dog, and I love dogs, or they are just quickly running past me.MiamiHeat3 wrote:One of my personal goals is to have a gym built into my house. This summer I tried the gymgym thing (lifting weight, the whole nine yards) and a) there's something unsettling about being the only woman surrounded by men who are glaring daggers at you to get your squat rack and b ) SO. MANY. PEOPLE.

Same for me. If my bed, smart TV, sweatpants and kitchen are in the same location as my gym, guess which one I'm choosing? lolzeglo wrote:To be honest I get way more work done at a gym with people. Separating the gym from home is key to going.

The greatest thing ever invented for shy girls like myself is the cardio theatre room at the gym I go to...it's basically a dark room filled with cardio equipment with a big projector screen with movies streaming all day. I go in there for my cardio cause you don't have to worry about how you look or the fact that you look like you just jumped in a pool (me). the weight room is a constant battle for my nerves but I manage to get through it when I bring someone with me. Maybe when I'm back in stellar shape it won't be as daunting.

That sounds boss. Idk why but I'm always really self conscious when I breathe, sweat, etc. at the gym. Which is bad because that's kind of what comes with exercising. I'm not in great shape at all. Plus, I have vitiligo so trust me, I get more stares than anyone can imagine because of not 1 but both reasons.
I've learned to just put on my headphones, blast my music, and zone them out. It took a while to get used to, but now that I have, if anyone stares at me, I have no problem staring at them right back. Feel confident where you go!
I'm one of those people who has hidden from anything social for a while, but now I've learned not to give a f*** and it's amazing!! Don't feel intimidated!! YOU GOT THIS!

I dislike lifting in gyms because I don't like people to be like checking out what I'm doing. Its like just pay attention to your own workout, and no I don't want to hear about your awesome pre/post workout routines and macro calculationsAbbeyS wrote:The greatest thing ever invented for shy girls like myself is the cardio theatre room at the gym I go to...it's basically a dark room filled with cardio equipment with a big projector screen with movies streaming all day. The key is making your workout not just something you occasionally do, but a true blue part of your daily routine. Just as fundamental as taking a shower or brushing your teeth.

Jk
Definitely something edm. Help by Galantis (Elephante Remix) and Fly Away by Krys Talk (JPB Remix) both get me pretty hype.
