doesn't nyu have like 84 full tuition scholarships? 3.7 171 in today's talk would be eligibility for that no?

i don't think so. NYU's median GPA is a 3.8 so a 3.7 is below that and i don't think being below either median will get you a full ride unless possibly your LSAT is like a 175-180 and your gpa is a 3.5 like yours, then i think you might get really good money but idk about a full ride. also, keep in mind that the full rides they tell you that they give out include those who get them from named scholly's/programs (RTK for example).

I'd expect someone with my GPA with a 176 and applied super early, was hounding them during negotiations would probably end at like 3/4 and maybe full if they had lady luck know on their side.

i miss school so much lol, that's why I'm kind of antsy at thinking I'll get close to full at a T20 this cycle and just bite there.

That's a reason I'm taking the year off before LS now. When I graduated high school, I took a semester off because I knew I liked law (sounds cheesy and generic but I have been planning on law for a long time believe it or not) but I didn't know when I wanted to start college. After that semester off I missed school a lot, even tho I was a shitty HS student, I went to college and was extremely motivated in college bc of it. So I'm hoping something of the sort happens for 1L after the time off, bc right now, I'm like half-assing college when I used to settle for no less than an A back in freshman year but now I'm like idgaf as long as I'm outta this place soon, which isn't good lol.

Its not a bad choice, I don't regret my year off at all things are just slow and I'd take another year off for more $$$. Props to you for know this was your career path all along, I knew it was an option but went with medicine in my early college career hence low gpa (do they really care about Calc 3 being a C+ ugh) but I was a shit HS student as well UG made me love academia lol. The main difference between you and I was my last 2 semesters I just wanted more, more classes more credits everything. Getting a degree is like getting a ticket to get off the ride.

I got a C+ in a class as well, it's the lowest I've ever gotten and it's what fucked my GPA for a little while and I'm happy with where I got it back up to now. Lol we are like opposite then, I wanna be done ugh. I know UG will be Cakewalk compared to LS (and honestly it's really not as bad as teachers in HS made it sound like or people in general) but that might be because I'm in a major for people who just want free A's so idunno

Basically, my first take, I maybe shouldn't have taken, but was desperate as it was the last sitting. I scored a few points under what I needed. I basically scored what I was PT'ing at the day before the test.

Now I'm scoring way above what I need, but if I don't do well enough on this take (concerned that the pressure of this being my 2nd from last take, and if I don't do well enough, will be left with only my final take), I'll only have one take left. And only having one take left means that if I blow that last take (which I would be considered is maybe more likely because of the anxiety of it being my final take), I'll have to delay not only this year, but a whole other year because that will be my 3rd take in 2 years (unless possibly if the next February LSAT is after when I took it 2 Februaries ago).

Maybe a little, I own up to what happened in September. Hindsight is 20/20 but if I wasn't so stressed, maybe I wouldn't have gotten sick and done fine what happened was 90% my fault; the other 10% was the fact that the test played to my weaknesses rather than strengths.

If you would have given me the opportunity to take it last weekend I would have, but I feel confident and ready this go around (my PTs haven't changed even its just the mentality).

also it's 2 years after your first take, so if your first take was 2 years ago in Feb your eligible again.

This is my second take. I took September 2016, was PTing very high before the test, but on test day I was super sick so I was anxious and unable to focus. Felt like I absolutely did not do as well as I had been PTing so I cancelled my score right when I got home from the test.

I have been been taking PTs in all different environments so I will be able to handle the real deal better focus-wise. I'm glad I did take September though because now that I know how it goes, I am way better prepared and think I'll be just fine come test day. I would take it tomorrow if we could. I'm ready to start getting my applications completed.

I'm actually feeling great about my ability, and don't want to delay the test. Every PT I've taken over the past couple of months would give me a score I'd be happy with, even my worst performance, but I'm still concerned I'll mess up much worse than my worst performance over these past few months, and that might not be a high enough score. I can afford to mess up beyond my worst performance, but not MUCH more (like not my worst performance, and then take another 3 points off of each section type of worse).
