Thanks man I am going to give a shot. I got buried pretty hard and its not like I could do worse. Back to the grind I guess, I can't even read a stim atm I am so disgusted lolgamerish wrote:I didn't study while waiting either. I started again with some drilling after a few days of wavering with whether or not I would retake. Then I went back to taking and BR'ing 2 PTs a week and taking timed sections between them for the next 5ish weeks until test day.betterLawyerUP wrote:Hey gamer how much time did you give yourself for december? I didnt study while waiting and I feel like less than a month is not enough time to get back into the lsat groove. I honestly felt prepared for december but now it feels like the lsat language is not second nature as it was before, but I'm hoping that rust will wear off.
If it's any consolation, the first PT I took when I started studying again was like a 164 or something when I had been testing between 170 and 173 for the most part for Oct.

It's just an anecdote, but I was quite sick while taking Dec, thought I did horribly and came very close to cancelling. So how you're feeling going into the test doesn't necessarily mean your fate is decided. In my case, I think knowing that I was off my game made me focus and pay that much more attention during the test to offset how shit I felt.appind wrote:Nulli Secundus wrote: it all depends on whether you are in the zone that day. This obviously isn't going to be the case for everyone but I do think it's important to not psyche yourself out.

I'm in a similar boat. 170, 3.6 GPA currently have an app out to a bunch of schools. But not planning to attend until 2017 (applied early to get in a recommendation from a professor that I'm not in constant contact with).
Worth it to try and retake the LSAT for a few more points until 2017? More scholly, or a chance at better schools?

Re: Retake with a 170?
I retook a 172 (from the June '15 test) and got a 176 (in October). I think a retake is generally worth it if you've been getting PT scores several points higher than your actual score, on average. In my case, although I studied by redoing old PTs, I found that to be really helpful - if there were questions that I was getting wrong both times, I made sure to spend a lot of time understanding why I was getting them wrong.
