Six weeks to prepare

Is it naïve to think that six weeks is ample time to prepare. We recently sold our business so time to study is not a factor for me. Realistically I need about a 160 to get into the school. I bought the material from LSAC, but the forums on 7sage make it sound like you need at least three months, preferably more, to do this test. If I work hard (like 5-7 hours a day) I hope to make the grade.

Everyone is different, but you should be fine. Worst case scenario you have to retake it. Whatever you do don't panic and cancel scores. That used to have value back when scores meant anything, but now a bad score means nothing worse than a blank canceled score. Schools just go with the highest score, even if the first time was some tragic 140 or below scenario.

160 in six weeks is possible, but you'll have to power through your study and dilling. I think you cannot expect much higher than a 160 though, and you'll need some natural ability on the test too to get that high in six weeks

Thanks for the advice. I am going to do a timed test to see where I really stand then work from there. I just don't have a year or two to take these tests, especially at my age. I want to start next fall, and from what I've been reading most of the cut offs are April 1st to get in. So the June test is kind of out of the question. My UG GPA is pretty good at a 3.5 so I'm hoping that will help if I end up in the 150's. First things first I guess. I have been studying for about two weeks but I need to get to taking the timed prep tests to see where I really stand.
