seems like this was more or less true for june. But we still don't have much information on where this increase happened. It could be that there wasn't much of a change for scores at the top.

I would guess that the number of students taking the LSAT is pretty highly correlated with the number of students applying to law school.TheodoreKGB wrote:It doesn't necessarily mean anything yet. What matters is the number of applicants and scores of said applicants. We've already seen an increase in applicants with lower LSATs; for those on this site, that largely doesn't matter. I agree that an increase in LSAT takers hints at a change less ideal to future applicants, but right now there's no reason to panic.

High scorers were down last cycle more than takers generally, and that stuff typically balances out. I don't see a positive way to spin this, honestly. Larger class in time for the next recession.SirArthurDayne wrote:But we still don't have much information on where this increase happened. Let's check real quickSplitter99 wrote:Does this mean that class sizes will probably rise again? And how competitive will this cycle be vs last years?
My positive way of spinning this: It won't be as good as last year, but it will still be better than most recent years and probably all succeeding years, and this is the first year I could apply anyway, so there's no point in crying about it.Hikkomorist wrote:High scorers were down last cycle more than takers generally, and that stuff typically balances out. We will get that in early Dec.SirArthurDayne wrote:But we still don't have much information on where this increase happened. It could be that there wasn't much of a change for scores at the top.
THIS... I hope.Splitter99 wrote:It seems that the number of LSAT takers hasn't recovered to 2013-2014 levels.
This. Not much I can do about it; I should've done well enough on the June so I didn't have to retake in December. Oh well.RZ5646 wrote:My positive way of spinning this: It won't be as good as last year, but it will still be better than most recent years and probably all succeeding years, and this is the first year I could apply anyway, so there's no point in crying about it.Hikkomorist wrote:High scorers were down last cycle more than takers generally, and that stuff typically balances out.
