170+ Scorers: Couple Days Before the Test

Could the 170+ scorers shed some light on what they did the last two days before the test? I hear a lot about how one should not even open anything LSAT related in the last 48 hours. Was that true for you?

I studied up through the night before, though I didn't try to cram or anything. I just stuck with the normal routine other than going to bed a little early.

Nothing for 48 hours before but relaxing and good food. No junk.

Yeah. I tried Sam Harris' Youtube video on meditation couple times. Works wonders. Thanks.

I think I took my last PT on Wednesday before my test, then practiced for like an hour on Thursday. Then I didn't do dick Friday or Saturday morning before the test.

I was also a super baby when it came to studying for the LSAT. I took a day off every 5 days or so, and sometimes more if I was really burnt out.

I guess its about what keeps you calm. I think I will go nuts if I go without studying for 48 hours. I am a little anxious, my hands were shaking when I took it the last time.

Warmup seems to be important. I will incorporate it in my PT rituals.

The morning before my test I got to the site around 2.5 hours early. Then after I verified the test location, I got the hell away from the kids studying and explored the campus. I went back to the area around 10 minutes before check-in started. I would have been freaked out by everybody freaking out otherwise.

Then I just kept reminding myself that there weren't any surprises and that it was going to be just like a PT. And it was.

Yeah, I know how that is. For me, the anxiety was much better after having done it once before.
Been thinking of seeing a psychologist.

I think I will take at least two PTs at the test center so that I get the feeling that it is just like a PT.

Got a 175, which was about average for me. I took a final PT on wednesday but didn't grade it or anything. That was the last LSAT thing I did before test.
The whole week or two preceding I started running a lot and meditating just to help practice managing anxiety. I found visualizing myself taking the test and executing my practice and strategies under pressure really helped on the real thing. Also, make sure you spend the week or so before the test adjusting your sleep schedule so you get a full night's rest.

Also, this. Do what makes you feel confident. I did fine going in cold on my 1st section (RC).

That is a good idea. I highly recommend because I saw one after my last take for the very same reason.
Thanks for seconding it! Will do it!
