I've considered waiting for the June test, but I think since I started back in May that the extra time may not be necessary (unless I'm not hitting scores for where I want to be).179orBust wrote:Disagree with this. A section a day(w/review) is gonna be great. The hard part is you've gotta do it everyday.RamTitan wrote:I've considered waiting for the June test, but I think since I started back in May that the extra time may not be necessary (unless I'm not hitting scores for where I want to be).179orBust wrote:Disagree with this. I've been doing that portion of my studying since August 31st (when I started my job....do a section at lunch, review it when I get home). Then, I take a test on the weekends, and review it when I get a chance. Before working full-time I spent the summer learning the basics of the test, which took me a long time.Li'l Sebastian wrote:A section a day(w/review) is gonna be great. Starting Dec. 18th I'll do the practice test every other day stuff.
Everyone does it differently, and it works differently for everyone. The LSAT is such a strange animal; predictable in many ways, yet still incredibly unpredictable.

Re: The Official February 2016 Study Group
Hey, I was wondering if I could get some insight from people on whether I should take it in Feb. or June:
So, I've been studying since May of this year. I started with learning the fundamentals over the summer, with the occasional PT to gauge my improvement. Then, in early September I started working a full-time job. When that started I began doing either a section of LR, AR, or RC every day and then reviewing what I did wrong, or drilling weak areas. About every other weekend I've taken a practice test to gauge my improvement. So, I've taken 12 tests in total (started at 146, scored a 170 a couple of week ago, most recent score is a 167). Starting in mid-December I was going to start taking one practice test every other day, and then reviewing it and drilling weak areas on the other day. However, I've started thinking that maybe I should wait till the June test to maximize my study time. So, instead of the intensive schedule, I would do a test every weekend starting on January 3rd. Is it worth it to wait til June, or should I hammer away for the Feb. test? If it makes a difference, it looks that doing my less-intensive schedule for June would allow me to do more practice tests, but I may run out of study materials....

Hammer away for February. It can't possibly hurt you and the upside is huge.

Checking in! I have been studying so much that I completely did not make sure I had registered for the Dec 2015 LSAT
Working full time, two kids (well 3 if you include my husband lol) has got my head spinning.
In terms of admissions, do you guys think this score is too late for the 2016 cycle? I don't think I could wait another cycle. I'm getting old!

I think I will. Then, if something happens, I can retake it in June and still have study materials left over.Li'l Sebastian wrote:Hammer away for February. It can't possibly hurt you and the upside is huge.

It's Feb so there tends to be lower registration, but still try to do it a couple of weeks before the late registration so you can get the test center you want. All in all, if you're sure you are gonna take Feb the sooner the better.wk810 wrote:Checking in. By the way, when's a good time to sign up for the Feb test? Checking in from NY. Is anyone thinking of taking a course? I've been studying on my own but I don't have that sense of urgency so I am thinking of taking a class. I've been using powerscore's books so I'm considering taking the powerscore class. Any thoughts?

You should probably try to take a course from a different company so that you're getting the widest exposure.ctruong wrote:Checking in from NY. Is anyone thinking of taking a course? Re: The Official February 2016 Study Group
Hey, y'all!
So, I'm wondering, is it too late to start studying for February? Basically I have all of December free, and then classes in January and February. For reference, my PT average (a few months ago) was a 168-170, and my goals are 173+.
Should I postpone to June, or sit for February?

OFFICIALLY CHECKING IN!!!!
Scary as hell, but I can't keep putting this off. Going to sit for the LSAT, for better or worse.
GPA: 4.25
Goals: 173+, $$$ at t14 (preferably UVA/Duke)
Method: Drill like mad until mid January, then start doing 2 PT's a week over break. See where I'm at in January and adjust.
