Let's Talk.....Drugs....

So, there seems to be a general consensus that many people take adderall/Vyvance to help them study and help them focus if they don't have ADHD.
Yet, there seems to be numerous side effects, such as such as being jittery, more so with Adderall as opposed to Vyvance.
Yet as anyone tried the Nootropic class of drugs such as Nuvigil/Provigl? Youtube/Google it, if you haven't?
Seems some people classify it as a "Smart Drug."

I used to think LSAT takers should be drug tested, but then I realized that the kids who abuse drugs for standardized tests probably can't break 170 anyway lol

180.
Seriously though, just study like a normal fucking person. You'll perform better without the dependence of bullshit toxins in your body.

I'm not a kid though I've done that most of my life.
Weed isn't a real drug and you can easily break 170 while smoking recreationally.
OP, to each his own. If you really think that prescription meds will make the difference, you do you. I will say that I think that ADHD meds are more detrimental than helpful to a lot of people without ADHD. I also don't think you'll get any useful advice on here.

Scalawag also missed the part where I said "kids who abuse drugs
for standardized tests." Last time I checked, people don't pick up smoking weed in order to improve their standardized test performance.

Lol, didn't read your post. No, I can't think of anyone who would smoke a bowl to improve their reasoning skills

They definitely can.
In people who don't have ADD (aka people who are abusing them, rather than using them to treat an issue), drugs like adderall still promote feeling less tired and can help them focus a bit better.
Addy has a lot of negative effects, but not always enough that they would keep someone from achieving near their best.
And if your point is that 170+ scorers are smarter than just doing "wrong" things or unhealthy things, that's not really true either. Many do all sorts of stupid crap, some hard drugs, etc.
In any event, adderall doesn't serve to make the user better at taking the test itself (whether the LSAT or a test in class). Hell, it can hurt when it comes to taking the test because you feel "flat" sometimes or feel completely the opposite and way too into a LR questions or RC passage and spend too much time on it. The main use of it is to study for the exams so you can focus on the studying and actually learn the info. It doesn't grant you magic powers so that you can delve deep into the far reaches of your brain to recall super old info for the test.
And most of those legal study drug things are just like vitamins and caffeine. Which can help boost alertness, but not much better than a healthy diet and maybe a coffee.
I would say just do you, and figure out what breakfast/lunch etc helps you feel the best and do that and maybe have a coffee if you're tired.
