I'm taking the December 5th LSAT. I took PT 51 today and have them all the way up to 75, I also plan on buying 76 when it comes out. I'm kinda stressing out because I'm not sure how I should arrange a PT schedule.
I'm thinking about doing at minimum 2 a week, but ideally at least 3. I feel like I take sooo long to BR, but I think I can do a PT every other day with BRs in between.
I read on tls to not do any new PTs the week of the exam, but to only review older ones, u think this is good advice? My schedule so far is:
Week 1(this week): 54, 55
Week 2: 56, 57, 58
Week 3: 59, 60, 61
Week 4: 62, 63, 64
Week 5: 65, 66, 67
Week 6: 68, 69, 70
Week 7: 71, 72, 73
Week 8: 74, 75, 76
Week 9 (Nov 29-Dec 5): Review + timed sections to keep sharp.
What do youse guys think?

Have you already been studying for a while? I assume, given this schedule, that you have already taken time to study technique in Powerscore or Manhattan or some other solid study guide (doing drills, etc etc). Regardless, I would recommend doing fewer tests early to allow for more technique work, and then step it up the last four weeks. Doing a bunch of practice tests is helpful, but you need time to do drills in your specific problem areas ... for example, if you keep missing "flaw" questions, you would be better served to spend a day reviewing techniques for "flaw" questions rather than just taking another test. I also highly recommend doing 6-section and/or 8-section tests as you get closer to build up your stamina.

You're in an ideal situation for LSAT studying. Don't waste this.
Regarding not doing anything new shortly before the test: I did basically all of my modern-test studying in the 2 weeks before game day. I don't think it hurt. Burnout is real, but it's also important to stay sharp.

Being full-time unemployed - I don't think this schedule will lead to burnout. I had the 5 months off with only part-time work prior to October and in my last month and a half did something similar. Can't vouch as to how it worked in terms of score, since I obviously don't know yet, but I went in feeling quite confident.

You are absolutely right. Back when I was doing pts/timed sections in the 30s and 40s, I used to get -0/-3 wrong on LR, and finishing with a few minutes to spare. For some reason, the LR sections in the 50s have not been treating me well

I'm guessing there must of been a subtle change b/c now I can't even finish the first 10 in 10 or 15 in 15 like I used to. It seem like they they throw a few time sink questions in the beginning now. I got -7 on a PT 52 LR section yesterday and didn't finish on time!
I'll be taking your advice n getting accustomed to these LRs, probably by drilling and using some PTs in the 50s as timed LR sections.
