Re: The Official October Waiter's Oasis
So I'm debating whether to sign up for December. I know that LSAC will give out a partial refund for the late reg if we are waiting for our scores, but most of the testing center nearby is full
Should I just go ahead and sign up? Better to be safe than sorry? I honestly have no idea how I did..

Have most of my app materials done, including personal statement and LORs, and sent out a couple apps to safety schools with my June score. Now I wait.

I hear you. Went through about three drafts before settling on a topic I'm pretty happy with.SirArthurDayne wrote:I've finished my resumes and have sent requests for all my LOCs. The one thing that I'm absolutely dreading is the PS.

I'm almost satisfied with my PS and resume. Just restructured my DS and not sure how I feel about it, so I'll keep working on that one for a while still. LoR requests going out today and tomorrow--doing most of my asking in person. Writing addenda and revising until scores come out, then submitting as soon as I can.
How many LoRs are you guys getting?

How do i know which schools to apply to? I have a rough worst case scenario estimate of what I scored. I need to start working on personal statement.

I am getting two letters. Asha didn't recommend more than two so I didn't see a need to add an extraneous third.

Re: The Official October Waiter's Oasis
I've heard that when you submit your apps doesn't really matter as long as it's before like January.
Seconding not getting extra letters. If TLS is right, the letters won't matter anyway and it's a waste of time. If they do matter, then you'll probably be judged by your worst one, so extras are a risk. That being said, I might request a third one just in case one of my other recommenders doesn't get it done in time.

Getting 4 letters, because I can and I'm crazy.
ETA: Got 4 mainly in case my two slackers didn't submit theirs. Also, my boss asked if I wanted one and when I tried to say I already had two she looked hurt so I backpedaled and said a third would be great.

Re: The Official October Waiter's Oasis
That is a good idea. I am not going to do that, because I am very confident my recommenders will get mine in on time (they've written for me before) and I don't want to ask anyone to do unnecessary work. Otherwise, I would probably do this as well.RZ5646 wrote:I've heard that when you submit your apps doesn't really matter as long as it's before like January.
