While I have not done it, I've heard of people that do. It seemed to work fine for them

I prefer to breeze through the first 10 Q's around 10 mins. and be @ Q16 by the time I'm 15 minutes in. I think it might be a better idea to get good at working through those questions so you have plently of time to deal with the more difficult sections towards the end. I wouldn't wanna spend a lot of time going through the most difficult Q's first and find out I have only a certain amount of time to make it through the easier Q's, or else I'd be prone to make a silly mistake on those. Also sometimes a difficult Q can be sprinkled into the first 10-15 also

I'm pretty good at getting through 15 in ~15 minutes, but this is a really interesting concept. I think I'll try this on my next PT.

I'll actually go through, do any parallels first, then flip to the back and go. I just find that I'm able to focus more on the harder questions, and it actually saves me time since I'm getting through the hard ones faster, and I'll have more time at the end to review choices if I'm really stumped. I'll probably do this on test day.
Only other change I might consider is doing 15-25 first then going back.
i liked the 15-25 then 1-14 method.

I'm fine with the first 15 in 15, then spending 20 on the last 10. That usually goes well for me.

For games though, I usually check out what I'm dealing with. If I see a misc game, I'll try to do that first or second. Leave the easier games for last. The last thing I want on test day is freaking out over a weird ass game with less than 8 minutes left.

wouldnt this lower your rate of success on questions you'd otherwise be sure to get right?

If you can do this then this is the best approach. If you are nervous then OP's suggestion is a good option. Just getting any question correct with confidence will reduce your anxiety.

I despise this idea.

This.

Agreed.

Plus I liked getting a nice rhythm going early on. If I hit a thorny question right off the bat I think it would discombobulate me
