No October LSAT spots left in NYC?

I just tried to register for the LSAT but every location in NYC is "unavailable." The nearest location is now a 2 hour train ride away in NJ.

Should I hold out and hope a spot opens up? What, if anything, can be done here?

Same thing happened to me in June. Waited until the last day to register and everywhere was completely full. When I registered, I was put on the wait list. A few days later, they emailed me saying I got a spot and conviniently it was the closest place to me.

After stalking the test center change page for 2 days (30+ refreshes) I was able to snag a spot at the closest test center, 1 minute walk from my apartment (Phew!)

But damn that $90 fee... euh

lucky you. when i tried to register at the end of june the closest center that was open would take me at least 2.5 hours to get to by public transit, and that is assuming normal train/bus operations which on weekends tend to get disrupted. thankfully a much closer one became available but the location for my june test (10 mins away) never became available :( :x :|

Bumping this as there are a few great centers open.

Was in a similar predicament but was fortunately able to change my center this past weekend. The change center fee (c'mon, seriously?) was annoying but cheaper than the hotel room I was considering.

Best of luck!
