The most disheartening part of prep?

Post by Binghamton1018 » Tue Jul 28, 2015 4:53 pm

Hey TLS! To me, there is little more disheartening than when you’re blind-sided by an answer choice you didn’t even consider being correct or quickly eliminated. PrepTest 35, Section 1 Question 8:
I’ve been prepping for some weeks now and was taken aback by this question. If lobsters are more likely to contract gill diseases when sewage contaminates their water and the only draw-back to this is that they don’t live long enough to be harmed and the proposal would send the sewage off-shore, how is it possible that B is NOT the correct answer?

They would live longer, they would come into contact with the sewage and the proposal would have a point.

PS: is there anything worse than being confident about an answer and then getting smacked by the key? ughhhhhh, hahahah.

PT solidly in the 170+ range and then getting a random 165- the month before the test, was a little frightening.

Yeah, when people post the answers to LR questions on TLS and contaminate PTs you haven't done yet. I swear we need some sort of spoiler tag. I hate opening a thread and seeing "HEY GUYS the answer to the CAR SALESMAN question on PT 70 is B"

So I did the birds in the forest game in like 7.5 minutes and thought I killed the game. Was feeling so good.
Then I go to 7sage to watch the video explanation and J.Y says "if you wanna score a 170+ make sure to finish the game in 5 minutes." Screw you J.Y, not everyone is as smart as you.
This has happened to me so many times already, it's so freakin' discouraging.

This, and blazing through the first half of an LG section, then struggling to finish...

Or when JY goes "this game is as easy as it gets on the LSAT" and I didn't think it was THAT easy...
