Advice - October or December LSAT

Hello,

Background information: uGPA of 4.0 entering my final year (semester) of undergraduate.

So I have a slight quandary that I hope that all of you may be able to assist me with. Right now, I have been studying for the LSAT for about a month or so, and I am not finding that I am where I should be, and I am heavily considering postponing my LSAT test date for December. The reasoning that follows this decision is that I realized that I went about studying the wrong way (studying 5+ hours a day/7 days a week, which fried my brain to the extent, I wasn't able to study effectively, poor scheduling, and so on.). I feel that I will be able to do better if I restart and aim for a December LSAT test date, which I've been told is totally fine (doesn't hurt admissions/scholarship chances at T14 law schools). Can anyone confirm if this is true?

In short, I'm asking if it is a wise decision to essentially start all over and study fresh and aim for a December LSAT. I'm just worried it will hurt my admissions/scholarship chances. Either way, what do you think? Appreciate any advice in advance!

Take it in 2016. At least one gap year is smart. Enjoy UG. You don't get that time back.

Just curious why do you recommend that option? Isn't there plenty of time until December to do well?

Because law school and being a lawyer are not fun and UG is. At least give yourself a year as a break.
