1 on 1 tutoring in Manhattan?

So I've googled and found a few prep tutor companies in Manhattan.
I've found manhattanprep.com, wyzant.com, manhattanreview.com
I'm not quite sure if they're reliable. Anybody on here know a good tutoring company located in New York? Does anybody have any experiences with the aforementioned websites/companies?
Side question: I want to study/prep on my own a two weeks prior to meeting with a tutor. Any specific books you would suggest? The bibles?
