Assuming one has access to at least some decent LSAT prep material (maybe a book or two, etc.), has anyone self-studied their way to 175+ on the LSAT?

I'm pretty sure I've seen 180ers on here who never took a prep course. Seems like general TLS consensus is that prep courses aren't too helpful except maybe for the beginning stages, "learning the ropes".

Plenty of ppl on here have (myself included).

I used the LSAT trainer, Blueprint Logic Games, and took a bunch of timed prep tests (20+).

Scored a 180 in June '13. Self-studied the whole way up.

I just used the Logic Games Bible and a slew of prep tests (was doing a test daily for about the last month leading up to the exam). I'm sure a method that simple is disfavored these days among the TLS LSATerati, but it seemed to work out. If you have any specific Q's, feel free to PM.

I'm curious to know how long you self-studying high scorers took to reach such a high score?

I studied for around 6 months, but I was working full time and had master's classes at night, so I wasn't putting in many hours per week (point being I am sure if someone had more time to study daily it could be done in less than 6 months).
