How often should I PT (taking in October)

Hi guys,

I'm a retaker. I will write again in October, and wondering how often you guys think I should PT. I am aware most of my time should be spent drilling (which it is) but I'm also aware its probably wise to PT throughout the entire time of prep. Can some people with experience give their opinion?

This isn't credited advice, but for me, I only drilled LG, and focused my time and efforts on 5 section PTs every other day, with blind review in between (took one day off per week). Half of them were ones I'd already done before, but it didn't really matter. I'm not sure how many times you've retaken, and what score(s) you got, but you should already know what the test is like. It's up to you to get good at taking it. At least in my experience, practice/repetition helped me out big time.

Hi yeezus, got a 157 and have taken the test once so far. Missed something like 11 RC questions , -6 on both LR's , - 8 on games (i panicked here, my first section, missed the first 3 of a basic linear game due to anxiety). I have no excuse for RC I am spending a lot more time on it this time around.

Ah ok well in that case, I'd definitely drill and develop a solid understanding of the test before you PT. You still have plenty of time, so don't worry. Just make sure you leave a few months before the test where you can PT regularly and see where you're at. Also, I said this before, but blind review is key. It's important to know why you got certain questions wrong. My nerves always messed with me on test day, so I had to make sure I was pretty much on autopilot when taking a 5 section exam. Took me 3 tries, but I eventually got it.

Okay - for what its worth, was getting 160-162 very consistently so dropped quite a bit on the test day unfortunately.
