Kaplan Early Preptests Easy?

First post! :)

I enrolled in a Kaplan prep course a month and a half ago and now have access to a lot of their study materials. They have about 80 prep tests available on their website, so I made it a goal to start with preptest 1 and go through to preptest 80. I'm about 5 preptests in (so far: 159, 166, 161, 169, 169). However, when I'm taking these tests, the LG section seems incredibly easy and I'm averaging above 90% correct with 8 minutes leftover. Are these tests a good indicator of where I'm actually at? Or should I start with preptest 50 and move forward from there?

Thanks!

Is the "preptest1" the actual first Prep Test from June 1991 or something relabeled under Kaplan?

PS. Kaplan does not have a great reputation as a study tool.

Preptest 1 is labeled as June '91 on the website. I have been lurking in some other threads and have noticed a lot of other guides. If anyone has suggestions for ways to augment Kaplan as a study tool I'm all ears! Is it all practice, practice, practice with many timed sections and reviewing the ones you got wrong?

Wow good job on LG for someone just starting out.
Kaplan sucks, but if you're scoring high 160's, it won't hinder you.

I took a Kaplan Course last year

When I took it, i got access to all official LSAT Preptests.

Most legitimate prep companies only use actual LSAC licensed questions so your test isn't any different than if you had bought it from LSAC
