The word "principle" on the LSAT.

What exactly does it mean? So, if an answer choice says "He defends a principle by blah blah blah" can the principle just be the conclusion of the argument? Does it have to be the abstractly phrased "If one does X, Elsa must do Y" type statement?
For reference, I'm talking about PT19-S4-Q25.
Help is greatly appreciated.
