Hey guys

I just took my first diagnostic test (following in line with the LSAT Trainer) and received a 163. To me, this score was nowhere near what I was hoping to have as a starting point.

My end goal is that I really would definitely like to be scoring in the 174+ range. I have time, but I'm wondering if it is possible (probable?) that I can eventually reach that scoring range.

It's a solid starting point. It is definitely possible to get to your target range from there.

Most don't break 160, let alone 155 on a diagnostic, yet increase their scores to 170+ with hard work. You can do the same. Especially if you had a tough time with logic games, yet still scored a 163 diagnostic.

163 is an amazing initial score assuming that you timed the test and did all sections consecutively. We recently hashed through diagnostic percentiles and I think 165 is in the 95th percentile of all diagnostics. Study for a few months and you can be to high 170's pretty easily.

If the 163 was timed, that's amazing. You definitely have the potential for 170+ with even moderate study.

It was a timed test, but I never really had issues with time. Other than the logic games section, I finished with over 5 minutes to spare on each at least. On the games section, I finished with less than 2 minutes left. The ordinal one was easy, but the other category based ones were much harder for me. My concern is with the other sections (reading comprehension and logical analysis), I thought I got everything correct. In other words, when I messed up, I didn't know it.

I am following along with the LSAT Trainer so I guess we will see how things go after that. It seems to be helpful so far.

My diagnostic was 164 and I got 174 on my third PT. It's totally possible.
