All your friends scored in the 99th percentile? I wish my friends were that smart

Third time's the charm. 166, 166, 170. I underperformed compared to my PT average every time, but at the end of the day, I still ended up with a score I can feel confident with.

I'm still confused. Admissions officers at what schools?
No school that will accept you with a 168 will care if you score lower on your third take if that's what you're asking

Admissions officers at T14 (minus HYS), and not 168 but something higher, presumably around 172 range.

no downside, only upside
I took 3 times. Low 160s, mid 160s, then high 160s. They only considered my highest score.

As much as I hate to say this, I'm back in the game of studying for the LSAT.
My goal is T14 (minus HYS), and my score is 162, 168. My main concern for retaking is whether those schools will look down on it and decrease my chance of getting in.
On the side, I'm actually relieved that I'll be taking some time off. I graduated in May 2015 and did a summer fellowship, fall govt fellowship, and currently going through interviews for jobs in V25 firms. It sucks because all my friends are in law school already or applying this term because they had no trouble getting 172+ in their first try. For those who are still studying, they're already working at a respectable companies. For my other friends, they're all IB bankers earning $$. I know I shouldn't compare myself with others and just focus on my studies, but it's still really hard to shake off feeling incompetent.
Huh? You graduated 5 months from now? if you are from the future, log into my status checker and let me know the results for all my applications.
In any case, who's going to look down on improved scores? I used up all my 3 takes, each improving by 3 and 6 points respectively and have received good news from a T6 just a day ago. So no, they don't really care about retakes anymore.
And the thing about all your friends is that they're not going to live your life for you nor should you live by their standards. My school was very IB-friendly, and 90% get into either IB or law firms, to work as lawyers, after graduation (non-US undergrad). But I tried not to get perturbed by the high-life my friends were living during my studies, even when I was getting disappointing LSAT results. You should try not to let it get into your head.

What does a two year period mean? I took LSATs in September and December 2014. So the latest lsat I can take is june 2017 if I don't what that to count as my 3rd retake?

September 2014 + 2 years = September 2016
In September 2016 you can retake even if you have a 3rd take before.
You can always call LSAC and double check.
