For any who has the powerscore book can someone point out the chapter that helps with conditional reasoing in assumption questions both necessary and sufficient. Is it chapter 11??

In terms of general advice, just bridge the gap That's what most of these sufficient/assumption-type questions boil down to (after a few permutations/contrapositives, of course).
