Simulating an experimental section

Hey,
As the December LSAT approaches I thought I'd add an experimental section into my prep test efforts. I've been doing this for the past few weeks. I typically do this midway through a PT after the second scored section. Recently I've been doing drills of 20-30 questions from 7 sage for specific question types, passages types or game types, which I deem to be my weak point on a given day, as opposed to to an actual lr/rc/lg section. Does anyone else use a similar approach to this?
Is there a general consensus on what is the best way to take advantage of that 5th section during prep efforts?
